Sea kayaking through and amidst their forest canopies is one of the safest, most relaxing and peaceful ways to be immersed amidst nature. A rejuvenating must-do activity.
Our Mangrove kayak tour is a 1.5-hour easy activity. No previous paddling experience is required. Simply meditate amidst the chirping of the birds and gentle lapping of the water, and learn about what makes them so special. Join us for some mangrove planting and become a part of the enormous forest already planted by so many of our guests. Whenever we find a few seeds floating we plant them. A guarantee is that this one experience will leave you wanting to keep paddling even after you return to your routine lives. For this we charge Rs 2800/- per person. The price includes required kayaking equipment, life jackets, a certified instructor and a briefing before starting out.

Bio-luminescence and Dawn Kayak Tours at Port Blair :

For the early morning go-getters who love to wake up before the planet awakens, this pre-dawn tour offers a combination of the fairy-tale bio-luminescence followed by the drama that dawn brings with it. This tour is for approximately 2 hrs, and is THE most therapeutic experience you could ask for. This tour is our healing room, and we hope it will be yours too. Although we we do not stay until spotting the sun, as it rises behind land and clouds, we can promise you it's the best way to end the night and bring in the new day.
Beware!!! For this tour start time is 02:30 am!!! And we don't wait if you're late! Because sunrise doesn't wait for anyone, if you're late you miss the 'dark' window period required to be able to see the bio-luminescence and so we will not wait for a late guest. Again, the dates of this tour is dependent on tide and moon phases and so we have chalked out the dates when it's possible to do them. For this tour we charge Rs 3500/- per person. This covers all necessary kayaking equipment, water, life jackets, a certified instructor and the required briefings to get your going.

This activity is not for the faint-hearted. It requires you to be comfortable with being entirely surrounded by water amidst absolute darkness. We highly recommend that you at least do one kayak trip before this. Especially if you are not comfortable with water. I would recommend you do the mangrove tour during the day time as not only will it give you a "Nat Geo experience" as quoted by my guests, but you would have understood the general mood of the water and what will be expected of you once it gets dark. The night tour is in no way similar to the day tour. Not in terms of the route, the time of day, or what you hope to experience. Children below the age of 8 are NOT permitted on the kayaks for this tour.

Anyone in an intoxicated state will not be permitted on the tour. Cameras are strictly at your own risk. We do not encourage them because they have been the cause of many capsizes and chaos.
