About The Family
It took a short vacation to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands for us to fall in love with the place and decide this is where we wanted to spend the rest of our lives. It took us a couple of years of roughing it out in Port Blair before we came across what is today our home. Khushnaz House, after much work, is a warm, charming and quiet villa with a stunning view of the Port Blair Harbour. Our terrace, is where tea is usually served. And although most who have stayed with us call it the perfect abode for creative workflow, we hope you enjoy more rest than work in our home. The Homestay is run by Mrs Dinaz Noble.
Dinaz Noble is the current undisputed reigning Noble-Home Minister and everybody says 'Yes Home Minister' when she barks out an order. Dinaz is in charge of the Homestay in Port Blair as well as bookings for the Water-House.
The 'Late' Capt. K.P. Noble (1950-2007) was one who, ironically, was never late. In fact, the latest he's ever been to an appointment is 'right on time'.
Shiraz Noble is the suave suit-and-boot polished fellow who fits right in with all the brilliant, antique furniture. A graduate of Hotel Managenent, is now exploring his passion for sailing, running the Homestay, and the Kayak tours... a master of all.
Bakhtawar Noble is the one to watch out for. A former lawyer by profession and Shiraz Noble's better-half in person, she cooks excellent Parsee food and takes her charge of bringing up Noble Jr very seriously.
Tanaz Noble is the moody slinker who'll spend three hours explaining to a crowded room how anti-social she is. Currently she runs her own kayak set-up in Havelock where she takes you through the mangrove forests of Havelock. This activity is recommended for everybody. Especially water-phobics and those who've never tried kayaking before. She boasts of her eldest guest to be 80 years old and her youngest self-paddler to be a 9-year-old girl. She also takes guests on snorkel tours but even here one has to paddle their way to the beach before they can start snorkeling.
Robin (very handsome dog) adopted us. After running away every day from his house just to be with our previous darling scruff-bug dog, Billi, his owners one day told us to just keep him and that they wouldn't mind it if he didn't go back home. So he stayed.
